Fire Mission • Defense Edition
Mission-grade AI gateway for US & allied organizations
Built by a US veteran-owned LLC (Blackburn Tactical, Manassas, VA). FedRAMP-aligned architecture, NIST 800-53 control mapping, US-vetted provider whitelist, and on-prem / air-gapped deployment options for federal, defense, and regulated mission owners.
Don't trust your AI provider. Verify them.
The model that actually answered your prompt may not be the model you asked for. Misconfigured endpoints, supply-chain compromise, and silent provider downgrades make model substitution a real operational risk for federal and defense workloads. Fire Mission Defense Edition sits between your mission applications and approved AI providers, verifying the backend LLM on every call.
The hidden risk
Your application calls openai.com, but unverified backend models, compromised SDK dependencies, or substituted endpoints could route sensitive mission data through models you never authorized.
Independent verification
Fire Mission verifies the actual responding model, blocks unverified providers, applies US-compliance gating per call, and writes a tamper-evident audit log — without persisting raw prompt or completion bytes.
Mission capabilities
The same gateway that hardens SMB AI deployments, sized up for mission-critical environments.
US-vetted provider whitelist
Mandatory geopolitical enforcement. Supply-chain blocked providers are rejected at the proxy layer. URL-origin checks defeat label-laundering attempts.
LLM identity verification
Per-call validation that the responding model matches the requested model. Silent substitutions raise an alert and a verdict is written to the audit log.
NIST 800-53 alignment
Architecture and controls map to NIST 800-53 Moderate baseline. FedRAMP Moderate readiness is on the roadmap; we are not currently FedRAMP authorized.
Two-plane isolation
Strict separation between control plane (PostgreSQL metadata) and data plane (ephemeral prompt/completion bytes). Zero raw content residue.
Self-hosted & air-gapped
Deploy in your VPC, on-prem, or in fully air-gapped networks alongside Ollama, vLLM, LM Studio, or LocalAI runtimes.
Tamper-evident audit log
Every call logged with token counts, cost, verdict, and identity verification status — without persisting prompt or completion content.
Defense tier framing
Defense customers can continue to procure Fire Mission under the tactical tier names. These map 1:1 to the SMB tiers and resolve to the same platform configuration.
Free reconnaissance tier
Same platform, monthly call cap. For evaluation and small mission-prep work.
Resolves to: Free tier.
Per-operator subscription
Unlimited calls, full security stack, multi-provider routing, MoE.
Resolves to: Pro tier.
Squad-grade with SSO/SAML
Team management, SSO/SAML federation, audit export, 3-operator minimum.
Resolves to: Team tier.
Custom contract — on-prem, air-gapped, dedicated success engineer
For federal, DoW, intelligence community, and regulated mission owners requiring on-prem deployment, dedicated SE coverage, custom NIST 800-53 control mapping, and contract vehicles.
Resolves to: Business tier. Engagement via UEI LNTTFLJSAEM5 / CAGE 9JD87.
Compliance language — current state
- FedRAMP-aligned architecture. We are not currently FedRAMP authorized. FedRAMP Moderate readiness is on the roadmap.
- NIST 800-53 alignment. Controls map to the Moderate baseline. Independent attestation is in progress.
- SOC 2 Type I in progress. Auditor selected; report not yet issued.
- HIPAA-ready architecture. Two-plane isolation supports BAA execution; we are not currently HIPAA accredited.
- DoW IL2 / Top Secret. Architecture designed against published control baselines; no current DoD/DoW certification.
See /trust for the canonical attestation status.
Built by a security-cleared veteran
Mark Sicat (CISSP, 20+ years enterprise security, 8+ years Microsoft) built Fire Mission with prior DoW/DoJ classified-systems experience. Government-grade isolation, audit, and supply-chain enforcement aren't features bolted on later — they're the default.
